You probably want the detective store, which is the magnifying glass icon on your map.

The other two options are with favors, and at Big Lucy's Cabaret. For Big Lucy's, you have to track down Larry the Twerp/Toe. With favors, when you solve one, you have the option of keeping whatever you received as your reward, and selling something you currently have, or just selling the reward item. (See, it pays to do those favors. ;-)
