I am thinking about creating a shameless copy of Serges' great game, I will be posting this on SoM and Noir but I'm not exactly 100% sure which one to do all the voting etc on. Now what I really want to know is if there is interest for this game and if so is there a sleuth or two that can help me out with setting up a league table, counting votes, or something of the like.

It took me a while to find the original game :P, but that seemed to go down well, if you do decide to go ahead with the contest then I would be more than happy to help out in anyway I can.

Here are the original rules with some modifications I have made. The rule changes are mainly so that new players to SoM can join. I have decided that the game will run on Noir so please make an account in Noir if you have yet to do so. So without further a do:

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. (Please PM me both your SoM name (if you have one) and Noir name. To nominate someone you must be subscribed)
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 32 (but we hope for 64), the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive bragging rights and a prize that is yet to be decided.

Remember PM me all this information via Noir, not SoM, I am having 'access difficulties'.

I am flattered by the nomination again this year, but will decline to particpate.

Thank you to Yoyo and everyone, hope that everyone enjoys.

Am I understanding this correctly? The premise of this "contest" is that I try to convince people that I am better than the person you matched me against and then hope other people agree and vote for me?????

Thanks for the nomination but count me out. BTW, I won't vote either.

Thanks for the nomination but please count me out. This sounds suspiciously like a popularity contest.
