You'll need to be a bit more specific, please. Which adjustments where on the detective page, the gear you're wearing, the factions, the skills you have, or something else?
Where it says adjustments it merely indicates the overall difference that your equipment held will make to your detective e.g. if you have a coat that has +2 toughness this will go towards your adjustments.
