I can't help but notice, that some people almost live on this site. Addiction is one thing, but how come people find the time. Out of personal interest, what moves you to play Sleuth so much?

I will kick off on my own thread. Originally I started out playing this game when I was listening to conference calls for work at all hours of the night. I am an IT manager. As I was quite bored with these conference calls, I started playing Sleuth.

Six weeks ago, I was diagnosed with burn out, this suddenly left me with a lot of spare time in which I can not do any physical or mentally too straining activity. Sleuth (next to reading, resting, sleeping) is excellent for this, it is not physical, not too mentally straining, yet not too passive either. Frankly, it is doing me a lot of good.

I would not be playing sleuth so much if it weren't for the agencies and the treasure hunts. Now that I've been playing a while and gotten my case solving skills up, the cases aren't so much fun anymore as busywork much of the time. But I like to work as a team with the other agents in The Underground and to compete for treasure and standing on the agency list, and the cases are a means to an end.

I also like discovering the new aspects of the game, like the bloodhounds (thanks, jstkdn!) and Big Lucy's. I still wonder how I am ever going to get her to talk to me!

I have formed relationships with folks in my agency, and we like to chat and goof around as we solve cases, which makes it more fun.

And I probably play more than I should, given the demands of the rest of my life.

But the real reason I am on for so many hours is that my husband is gone for his job and his commute fifteen hours each day he works. So it is a long, lonely time in my house until 1 a.m. when he gets home. Sleuth is the answer!

Did you just say a 15 hour commute, and I thought *I* had it bad. How did you know the bloodhound was my idea? Didn't want to toot my own horn and all, but now that you mention it. :)

No, no, fifteen hours including the commute and the actual ten-hour workday.

And I think Ben spilled the beans somewhere about the doggies...

Phew! I was already thinking what it felt like to live in Amsterdam, and work in Paris (which is still only 6 hours away.)
