Hello,

The old email address that we used to receive new avatars is now so overrun by spam as to be pretty useless.

So, from now on, please send any pictures you would like to use for your detective avatar to this address:
sleuth.avatars@gmail.com

The rules:
1) This offer is only open to current subscribers.
2) Portrait photos only. No cartoons, illustrations, full body shots, etc.
3) Try to stick with the style of the game.
4) We reserve the right to refuse to post avatar images for any reason. The most common reasons we refuse are:

It can take up to six weeks to turn around avatars, so please don't freak out if you don't hear back right away.

If you sent an avatar to the old address that has not yet been posted, please resend it to this address.

Secret Squirrel, can we still use the avatar-submittal process currently in place? I sent one in yesterday to the addess originally posted by Admin, then saw your post above.

yeah that's still up and running... can I use the word running? dripping? stagnating? DON'T DRINK THE WATER! Ok so I wandered... yes the old system still gets used.

When will the user upload be available? I think even those who already submitted a pic will have better luck with that.

Any news? As I submitted my avatar four months ago, it seems that the current record of three months has been successfully broken :)

I think it's safe to say that until otherwise notified avatars aren't being processed by admin at the moment. I'm sure he'll get back to it, and to us all, when he has an answer / solution to this impasse.

There ARE some unprocessed ones I haven't sent to Ben yet, mainly coz, well, I think one missing batch at a time is enough.

The only thing I can say is that the avs aren't part of the sub., and yes, that's a bit tired I know.

I apologise, for what my apology is worth, for anyone who feels like they are being jipped and / or has severe separation anxiety from their face.

Please feel free to have a little rant if it helps assuage your indignation.

Yo, SS...how about putting a couple of us at comfort by throwing in some names of the unprocessed ones? I, for one, haven't been inspired enough to activate a 'read receipt' function before submitting my ugly pug face to you and I do believe I'm not the only one. I did indeed arm myself with a lot of patience, but seeing the last batch you sent still undercover, I'm thinking...2010 might be a nice round number. Only...I'm not sure I'll catch that one either as even though my mail didn't come back, I did experience some unnotified failures from time to time.
