Another question-daily rent

I haven't paid attention enough to notice if my detective's age increases in real time, or by the number of days I have played. So I am wondering if the daily rent for apartments is based on real life days, or days I actually play. Am I being clear? I don't want to get behind on rent and get kicked out because I didn't get to sleuth all week. And since by client seems to often be the guilty one, I may have trouble earning the rent anyway. ; )

Apartments don't have a daily rent, just agencies.

And many agencies will cover the rent costs for you if you join one.

As for the number of days old you are, it's based on real life days. If you created your detective 10 days ago, you are 10 days old, regardless of if you played only 8 out of those 10 days.

Ah ha. Thank you! So much to learn... easy to get confused. Apartment- store gear and leftover cases?

Check out the apartment guide at SleuthTips.com for everything that you can use it for and all of the costs.

I use sleuthtips a lot- I never noticed there is an apartment guide. Why didn't I think to look there? Thanks!

You buy apartments, you rent agencies here. Once you buy the apartment, it's yours, lock, stock, and pink slip. Agencies, however, require having money in the agency's safe to make sure you can pay the rent each day. There's a bit more detail about this in your other post. ;-)
