Today, while reviewing the different categories of high scores, I noticed a lot of great detectives names, who were here during the beta testing, and when I joined, such as Chuck, Fat Kitten, Bella Luna, and others, no longer appear anywhere. I thought it’s sad that their scores have been long beaten out, and I wish there was a place they could be honored for their achievements. When I first joined Sleuth I remember how some of these players put a spark in me to accomplish what they did, and I feel there should be a special place to honor them so all players, old or new, will know.

As in real life, people achieve greatness and some are inducted into a “Hall of Fame,” or given rewards. I thought adding a new category such as, “Sleuths Hall of Fame,” would be a wonderful way to honor these retired agents, as well as current agents who have achieved greatness.

To make it fun, perhaps all players could nominate players, then vote on who we feel is worthy of mention, or select a committee to decide. Better yet, our Sleuths Administration could make the final decision. Anyway, I would love to see the names of all of those who’ve contributed a lot to this wonderful game. In the meantime, my hat is off to all of them and you

Actually, I think this is a great idea. It would also give all a fair chance and not be just some popularity contest.

I think it's a great idea as well DaRu. Thinking of some of those names brings back a bunch of memories. I'll try to come up with a list of names myself and just maybe it will be noticed.

I think qualifications should have nothing to do with the "age" of the detective but more, as you mentioned, their contribution to the game!

Well my vote goes to R. Anstett who let me join Closers when I was starting out and has always been there to answer even the most inane of questions about the game (ah those salad days).

Ran also gently encourages role playing, which adds another dimension to the game.

So Ra Ra Ran!

Serges (RIP), who not only created great agency competition and was an all around joy in the community, but also created the AVL, which still runs today.

And I don't think Kitten would have liked you calling her Fat, DaRu. It was Chuck who was "Fat," if I recall correctly. :D

In one sense this is a nice idea, in another us newer players will have no idea who the older players are talking about...

True - but searching their post histories is a great way to kill time waiting for turnover :)
