Grr...just need to vent a bit.

It gets frustrating to me when I have the advanced skills (i.e. thread and hair analysis) but still have several cases in a row where I find unknown evidence whether it be threads or hairs. This is now my fourth case (out of five) today where I have unknown threads even though I have A.T.A.

That, and the fact that I have over 700k exp. points and am having a hard time getting my second contacts in some cities. Last week, I solved 9-10 favors in a row in Delhi, and now I'm back in London and still can't seem to get my second contacts in either...

Okay, vent over...back to the game...

It took me over 2 weeks to finally get my 2nd contact in Delhi. I did 4 favors every day during that time.

True...just like charm skills add a "bonus" when you use sweet talking or rule bending...but it's a bonus...the advanced skill should also count for the "bulk" of the chance. It just gets frustrating sometimes when you use your very coveted skill points on these things and then you go for long stretches where they don't seem to help.

And, again...I was just venting more or less...not really looking for solutions or answers. Mainly, I just wanted to let others know who feel like this too that they are not alone :0).

I can attest to venulia being there for that long...we here at Sirens had to send her post cards while she was there and wait patiently for her return :)

if i have all the evidence skills, am i guaranteed to find all the evidence, even if i can't always sub-analyse it?

If you've got Basic Hair and Thread Analyses, yes, you will find all the evidence there is to find at a particular crime scene. You won't be able to determine the evidence's characteristics (slim v. heavy, left v. right, etc.) though, until you get the Advanced level on all the skills.

So, let me see if i understand this properly... even though I have the advanced hair analysis skill, this does not guarantee that I will be able to analyze that evidence 100% of the time. Wearing gear that gives a smart bonus will increase the odds that I am able to analyze the evidence. This problem seems most prevalent in favor cases (Is this always true?). Are these assumptions correct?
