Is the Shady Character messing with me?

Okay, I've taught myself the ropes, I guess, but I've had 2 false accusations before I figured out you could quit (or that false accusations had consequences). I stumbled on the Shady Character's function, but was a little short of cash. So I got more, and went back. His price had gone up, just a little more than I had. More money. Price went up again. I've solved 3-4 RRH cases since then, and the price keeps going up, just out of my price range. What's the deal?

On another note you would benefit from being in an agency. If you get a good one your team mates may loan you the cash and also you will be able to solve higher level cases as they can help you out with their contacts.

Do easy cases and you won't get so much experience points. Since you get favours every third case regardless of the level of the case it might be better to stick to those easy ones and jump on the favours as soon as they're available.
