Hello All-
I am a relative newbie and I have literally spent the last 3 hours trying to read through threads so please forgive me if this has been proposed already. I appreciate all comments.
==============================================

Also, I hope this is in the right forum....

If/when a detective finds a bloody footprint, you can determine if it's male or female blood using a simple blood test while you are in the field. If you can already determine it came from a heavy or slender person (Advanced Footprint Analysis) , one more test is all you would need to do.

I know this game takes place in the 1920's-1940's, so genetic testing was available--even if it was in it's infancy.

You can make a pregnancy test (or something like it) purchasable with some skill points under the "Smarts" category.

Part II

Another idea I have is to have weapons as a part of the crime scene. In other words, the killer left in a rush/panic and left a bloody knife. You can then lift the bloody fingerprint and, like the handwriting analysis, determine if the person was a righty or a lefty. You would leave a heavier print on a murder weapon with your dominant hand. You can also add ropes and then the sleuth will have to figure out if the killer tried to cover up by making it look like a suicide. This would be a great twist especially in the case of a really neat crime scene (the experienced killer) or if the body was moved.

Since detectives can purchase guns from certain factions, I think, they can be added as murder weapons too because I think sleuths during that time could test for GSR.

rofl at SS...

Nikki, with your whole 79 days of experience and not even breaking 10000 experience yourself, your attitude is shameful. Good for Jordan for posting something *constructive* to help the game and make the experience better for everyone, even if a bit off the time frame. Last I checked, there are no prerequisites for posting new ideas.

I suggest you take your own advice and keep your *own* mouth shut.

Biggie<--I happen to know Jordan in RL and we talk about these kind of things all the time. He's a gadget freak and addicted to CSI. He and I agree to disagree a lot with respect to this game. It fun and it makes for great conversations about lots of things.

As for me not breaking 10000 ex points, I prefer to take this game slow and appreciate it for what it is. It's not just randomized chaos plugged into computer algorithims. People commit murder for a reason and I like to take the time to get into the killer's head and see why he/she did what they did. Different strokes for different folks, right?

At any rate, I do offer sincere apologies to anyone I may have offended with my attitude. That's the problem with computers....you can't relay tone as well *sigh*

Have a wonderful day everyone

Nikki-
Girl you owe me a Cuba Libre. Didn't I tell you your mouth was gonna get you in trouble one day? Time to pay up chica.

Honestly, Nikki is my best friend, spoiled papa's princess that she is *wicked laugh*

Take her at face value cuz she's really a sweetheart (and not just cuz she's be girlfriend either)

Now that that's all cleared up, I have another idea for our game.....making Chicago an additional city. If I remember, wasn't Capone a mob boss during this time frame?

Also, since radio then is what the Internet is now, you can have a picture of an old-school radio pop up when you correctly apprehend someone.

It can read, "So-and-so nabs *Insert killer's name*!" or something like this.

If you have mucho dinero and want to add to your charm points, you can buy a brand new car from one of the faction bosses or from Big Lucy's Cabaret.

I was thinking Model T, Rolls Royce, or a Duesenberg.

I'll add more in a few minutes after the 'magic brownies' kick in.

In order making paying for Big Lucy's Cabaret, you can add some jewelry to go with that really expensive flapper dress.

Trend-setting designers of the time were Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli.
=======================================================
Gruen Guild Watches and Elgin Watches are typical examples of expensive tastes in 1920's jewelry, with the top of the range models costing more than a years salary of a typical worker. For example, The 1927 Gruen Bracelet Watch for ladies, with an 18-jewel Dietrich Gruen Extra Precision movement, iridium platinum case and full length bracelet fully paved with diamonds was $1985. Other diamond set designs were priced from $3000 to $60.

Hi Jordan,

Nice to see you fitting ideas in with the time frame but.... what's the point?

I mean that in a constructive way, a car... why? The radio... why? The jewlery... why? A new city... why?

Build on the ideas, say what you want them to do and why that would be helpful. There seems no point to the car, we have lots of accessories already including jewlery and we have had some great ideas for new cities, none of which were taken up by admin so we need more info on what Chicago would be good for...

Good work but more work....

And I second the point on Treschaude

as far as SOM goes it could cut down on the time it takes to get from place to place. (I bet Ben was already thinking along those lines though)

Guns for toughness, though I believe we have that already. Jewelry for charm. hmmmm already got that....

I know, we'll put a garage in our apartments if we buy a car for them. The car raises status points which are obviously good for something right?

Though something I would like to see is the ability to wire money from a field office to the safe. Not take money out or see how much there is, just to send it in.

Also, unfortunately, Chicago is the city that the AVL uses. So I'm not sure how likely it is to be used here as well. There's other global cities that might work. Any preferences? ;-)
