Well, thanks to my friend FolkTrash, the site has gotten a much needed facelift. We're planning on making further changes along these line. Replay in this thread with any compliments, complaints or concerns about this new look.

actually you know what...the font could be a little bigger, cause there is alot of room in the window anyways....

I like that the TABS at the top (CASE, MAP, etc.) turn White when touched by the pointer, but I wish all the other things would turn White when touched. The current color is too close to the original color for some of us with those type of eye problems. I have a 21" screen and I still have to agree with the others about the font size needing to be larger. Shaping up nicely though, Ben!

Hmmm...I admit I liked a lot about the way it used to be! I miss the little icons that have now become tabs on top. And I am finding it confusing that case file and map have switched places, though I guess I will adjust. I agree with others about the font size and I would add the style, too. I liked the old style just fine! I am unsure about the "showing through" being a good idea - I agree that it's distracting.

The equipment locker also seems more confusing. I'll have to look at it at home and see how it is on my computer there.

It could be the computers I am on here at work, but now it seems that the status of the suspect (ie, "new") is dropping to the line below the name when it never used to do so. I don't like the look of the initial screen as well either - sorry to be curmudgeonly.

However I DO like the highlighting of the selection - I was a proponent of making things further apart, and this will be a good step in the direction of reducing accidental clicks, which I appreciate.

Oh! Another good point of the highlighting is that it makes it easier to count the suspects!

(Although I still think there might be a way to number the list that would not be aesthetically dreadful and would be awfully helpful...or even arranging them in blocks of five, or with pictures the way they are on the case files page - it is very easy to see the suspect count "at a glance" there!)

Reading these posts, I believe quite a few members ,including myself, use screen area: 1024*768 pixels. This site look perfertly okay with a 800*600 pixels. Maybe u like to enlarge the text of these areas: The message board main area and texts using Time News Roman font. Time News Roman are smaller in visual compare to Arial even with the same font size. One last thing, the [Take Item] buttons in locker does not appear in the same line. this make the button very close up together. Still, thanks for the new look. :)

Thanks for the hard work, Ben. I like the highlighting. It would, however, be nice if the ‘logged on’ marks on the agency ‘view members’ page were in white, or another colour different from the colour used for the members names.

Some of the changes are great! I love the highlighting. That is really nice. Thank you.

Things I liked better before: I miss the little icons across the top. I really liked the briefcase, and the 'capitol' and the agency's door. It looks like a recipe box now.

In the equipment locker, would it be possible to center the test item values in their columns. The tough test value is right next to the price of the item, and it 'blends'. (old problem, but as long as you're fixing things...)

I agree that I'd like the logged on status of agency members to be in a different color.

I also get the wrap on the suspect list, which is more confusing when NEW appears under some, but next to others.
I'd like the fonts to be a bit bigger, though it seems to look better in the windows environment, so maybe I'll just have to use my husband's PC ;-)

Thanks for all your efforts, Ben. This is a wonderful place to hang out.

Well, hehe, Moonshh had already voiced most of what I was thinking already, and while running over the little things to comment on, I see Dogberta has mentioned the rest, so not much for me to add, except stress that the font for the agency member lists and replies from suspects appears extremely small (or maybe it's just my screen or browser??).

Other than that it looks quite nice, but I do miss some of the old elements too (especially the little icons), and have been considering if, although the new look is very fancy, and sleek, and professional, and modern, if it may be a little too modern compared to the time Sleuth is supposed to take place in? But that doesn't mean that it doesn't look quite nice :)

Oh, and one more question: Why is the first director on the list written in white? :)

I have to admit that even though the new look is nice the writing has become a bit too small. After playing for a while I naoticed that it does hurt the eyes a bit. I still miss the icons and I like all the games descriptions not going over to the next line.
