Hello, everyone! I'm me! :)

Ha ha. I noticed, somewhere, that they try to release scripted mysteries once a month. That's only 12 a year! I intend to try and make it two a month. I am currently writing (In my other profile) 3 mysteries. Once I come up with an idea, I get about halfway through, by writing all the big stuff.

The questions and stuff are harder. The point is, they're coming. Now, the point of this thread is to tell you I'm here. :) The second, and more important, I'd like your help. Let's keep writer's-block away, and throw in some ideas for them! I'll choose the good ones, and start writing them!

Okay, I've made this kind of like a speech, so, sorry about that. But, I'll reward you! I'll mention your name, that you gave the idea. Scripted mysteries are better than random, we all probably agree on that. So, let's keep making them!

Just one little request: Keep this thread spam-free. It's easier if I don't have to sift through a whole lot of spam to find the ideas.

Well, there you go! So, start-a-brainstorming!

P.S. I'll be posting in both profiles here, so I'll mention who I am when I do. Thanks!

Beware of oversimplifying the story to much, it's got to be fun to play in the end!!!

Also be aware that the mystery demands a name and an age to the murdered/missing person. After the intro, you get deposited in the case tab where that name and age are proudly displayed.

Your two first twists would have to be the intro and crime scene for it to make sense. You could still "visit" people in the intro. But as it is, you are forced to start the mystery as soon as you leave that intro.

The idea itself is interesting and VERY general. One could easily put it up for a challenge and wind up with every contestant having written widely different stories. Which wouldn't be a bad idea actually. The judges would have to be invited to the SMs and a nifty prize could be given out...

I'm thinking a watch would be best!

Well, all I did was actually some kind of brain-storming. It was not meant to be the total of a mystery, or something I would claim copyright on. It was just to try to open a door or two into something that might give ideas for the one or sevral that found something behind that doors. I don't know all the things that was behind those doors. There will be a need for another creative mind to find out.
My experience though is that when an idea or two is thrown, someone else will find it easier to continue on the idea, and even end up with something totally different.

To Huglover: Wow! I can visualize that one! You've got yourself a story plot! (Not because you're in my agency, but because that's really good!) I'll send it to you when part of it is finished.

To Stooby: I just wrote an 'almost impossible'. All I have to do is write the questions. And, believe me, it is not simple! :-)

To Dave Von Wave: Okay, what are you talking about??? :-) Guess I lost track there! However, for the first part, the victim is simply the cat, Bobo or something. The crime scene is, the cat was kidnapped (corny, yes, but it gets better :-) ), and detective investigates and concludes that. Then, the neighbors are questioned because it was a kidnapping, then the guy is killed, then the cat comes back with a note stuck in it's collar, threatening something... brainstorming over. My brain stopped, lol. But, great potential.

To Huglover, post 2, paragraph 2: Very true! That's why I made this thread. I mean, I could brainstorm for an hour and come up with 100 different ideas. It's just easier when I can build off somebody else's. It's more fun this way, too. :-)

P.S. I already have about 12 scripts waiting to be written, all but 1 are currently based in New York. I'll figure something out, though to get more to other cities. Heck, I just thought of 2 that I can base in London!

The ideas aren't the hard part, beleive me finding enough time to write them a get them to the stage where your eventual editor isn't going to hate you for the rest of your life is! My advice is to sit and work one or two out, make sure you have enough ideas for an interesting story and a good case.

Then choose and focus on one until it's completed.

Try not to think of to many at once.

Stooby is right, you should focus on one story until it is completed. I left a half-finished mystery for another and now it's difficult to return to it. By the way, there is an aunt in it, but no cats I'm afraid :)

AC, my second parts was refering to a possible contest with scripted mysteries.

Judges for the contest would have to be invited to view the mysteries that was all.

In a recent contest a watch was suggested as a prize for a future contest of undetermined nature. So I suggested that as the prize for this contest. I believe I was thinking that the contest would take so much time to go through that that a timepiece as a prize would seem appropriate.

I'm sorry, I was tired and when I am tired I skip logical steps.

Sounds pretty good! Dave, me or Kevin Greene, (I use them both, sorry for any confusion, but all my scripts are with AC.), Huglover and Stooby. We judge, unless that's too many. If we can, we could hand out first, second and third prizes.

Let's judge on the best idea for a story. Judging the actual story would be waaaaaay too hard. I'll get back to you on this one later, but I have to go now.

Oh! I'm making these movies and coming up with the idea. I write one only at the library, one when I'm around pretty girls, one when I'm near music, and one every other time.

Weird, but that's how I do it! Or if I'm in the mood for each particualar one. I have 13 ideas, but I'm just keeping track of those and starting on them later.

Oh! Making the movies is with a game. I will upload them onto the internet so if you want to see them, I'll give you the link when they're finish.
