I'm almost at the point of being able to choose my next skill and they are all around the 12-14 mark (before adj due to archetype).

I have 8 toughness with my equipment (due to lucky favor rewards), 2 smart (which I am hoping to improve).

I'm trying to decide whether to go for more tough interview skill advancement, or to work on my smarts analysis skills.

Tough:
Advanced interrogation
Intimidate

Smart:
Advanced thread
Advanced hair
research

So I guess I am wondering if I am better off getting handwriting or footprint analysis...or going for advanced intimidate, lock picking or pugilism.

I do tend to concentrate on eliminating alibis first then PE next, and resort to WE as a last option. Lock picking looks handy, but I am wondering if AI might be just as good considering my decent toughness level. It would help me with both alibi and PE tries.

Still, I am a touch lacking in PE analysis, but since my enhancement isn't flash anyway, I'm wondering if I should wait till next time, just in case I get a PE contact in the meantime.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Also, in order to go after Pugilism, you'll need to be at least +25 with the Green Hand. Since you're currently neutral, it's gonna take you a bit of time to work up the ladder with them. But when you're traveling, it might be an idea to keep that in mind, and try to solve (or quit negative Green Hand) cases that will help you start building up with them.

Something to think about....

Also, we've covered some of the same things you're asking for another guy a couple threads down. You might have a look:
