Everyday, the treasure hunts seems to be a "top 10 agencys" contest. Both in terms of participation and winning. It is always the same agencys competiting. A few smaller and newer ones may compete but they always had this partern: they are newly formed, are eager to try the hunt but after awhile when they realised they can't win, they all just give up. The hunt may be based a large part on luck but a 12 members agency with more favors surely had a better chance than a 4 members agency. For these agencys, paying for the information is as good as a donation. I was told that only winner get the fame points. So i had a suggestion: how about awarding fame points to those who had gain percentage towards the hunt too. Eg. in a 500 fame pts hunt. winner gets the full points while agency that is 20%, gain 20% of 500 divided by 4. This way, the winner still win much more pts then agency who got 80%, they win only 0.8*500/4= 100 pts. I felt this could encourage the smaller agency to play the hunt as there is a reward for it. They may not win the hunt but with the potential fame pts gain, they will want to gain pts to compete against other smaller agency. Thanks.

I started here in Aug this year with Chicago which was a top 5 agency. I was completly green and had to learn by mistakes and the guidence of my more experienced agents. I left Chic. to co found Lone Wolf. We had an awful time getting good agents and finally had a great crew, then life happened. Hurricanes, students back to school, my mom got sick and i was awol for two weeks, and illnesses of others. DaRu and I and our agents worked so very hard to keep our agency and never complained. When we were at wits end we merged with Star Agency. Our agents went with us and again life got in the way, deaths to loved ones, folks in school, illnesses, and needy rookies. We tried our best there but it just did not work for me so I changed agencies again. I am now working very hard in Starsky & Hutch and yes we do not get all of those trophies either but guess what? We work hard and have worked hard since joining. Owning your own agency is nor should be a walk in the park. If you want the prise then you have to make certain decisions wether popular or not. If your eye is on the prize then get training, the same as us old folks did, and work hard. This is a hard game and I for one am greatful for the challange. It is not easy to go from director of two agencies to a mere officer but it was my choice and I think I have finally found my niche. Treasure hunts are hard and they are supposed to be. You always must work for the things you want and once you get them they mean something! All I can say is do you want some cheese with that whine?

If you really want to know, why we are finally winning a few hunts. In 2 weeks time we had 3 wonder newbies joining us, beginner players at the time. Absolutely working their behinds off.

I personally feel it should remain the same, it makes it so you have to be active and really participate in growing your agency, the top 10 agencies should not be punished for working hard and having established themselves.

M.Zane I feel your pain in terms of Lone Wolf, we had the same thing. In real life I have the same job as I do in my agency in Sleuth, but the multiplied by some. Funnily the experience, it is a small version of real life.

Also in real life, people want your opportunities, your reputation, the amount of cash you make, your bonuses, and preferably also your job....without having done the work.

Wow. When i first post no one reply. now it actually went to 3rd page!! :)Seriously, this post has gone a bit "out of track". I posted this idea because I thought it be nice to see more guys playing in the hunt. YES, the SAME hunt regardless of old/new/big/small agencys. I throw in the idea of fame pts award according to percentage gain in the hunt becos I thought it be good as some kind of incentive. The idea is totally about getting more PARTICIPATION not finding an easier way to get fame points!!! Sadly, along the way, it turn to some kind of debate about getting fame points for agencys. I, myself, is in an agency which is more a storeroom to store equipments. Even if there's a change in the hunt. I probably won't take part in it becos there's only 2 active members there. the rest are either not so active or just "tourists" stay for a few days. So why the heck do I bring this up??? :)I'm currently jobless with nothing better to do!! So guys, sorry if it upset anyone. I actually regretted bringing this post out again. Let's stop the talk about fame points. With this post, I will just keep my big mouth shut and lie low for awhile. :) **Delvin had went into hiding, only Lucy know his whereabout**

In the interest of honesty, I have only been around for a month. I have worked my butt off durng that time, though.

O.K. First let me say I am extremely new to this game, less than a month, and even newer to an agency. While I understand the frustration of newcomers, a lot like the unscribers, I think some time needs to be taken to appreciate the complexity of this game.

If you were to start an agency in the real world, would you seriously have a shot at huge cases with fame and fortune? Not likely. You start small. You do the jobs the big guys won't bother with themselves. No fame no fortune, but another case to put on your resume, working toward your place amoung the famed.

These principles are all expressed, seperately, throughout this thread. They have all been attacked from one side or the other. I do believe that there is room for improvement. I do not believe the smaller, newer, OR struggling agency should have an advantage over the "Big 10" at the moment. I do believe that the excuse of "that's not fair, we didn't get do to that." is rather weak, and does not allow for growth of this game. (My understanding is this game appears to be less than a year old.)

Would it be possible to open the treasure hunts based on the GROWTH of fame points over the last month or so? This may allow the tiered structure of hunts, and growth of new agencies, without penalizing older, struggling agencies. It would also encourage newer growing agencies to try the harder levels.

I think the sadest thing that could happen is to take away from this game by making it too easy, it would almost be as bad as a strategy guide. You want all the answers to game, all the short cuts and cheats? Try playstation, xbox, or game cube. IGN has a pretty good website for that.

I read this thread & wasn't going to put my two cents worth in, but I couldn't resist. First off, I couldn't help but laugh at your comment Delvin, when you stated you wished you hadn't of brought this thread back up and have to go into hiding, and only Lucy knows where you'll be...hehe, I had a good laugh. Well, the thing of it is, this is a touchy subject. You'd have to be involved in one of the top ten agencies to know where we're all coming from or feeling. As M. Zane stated above, she and I started "Lone Wolf," that I wanted to start since the day I first stepped foot in Sleuth. After a few months building DaRu's exp. pt's up, I joined Chicago, which at that time I was wanting to start Lone Wolf, but joined them instead. I hadn't been there long when I had the honor in winning my first trophy which placed Chicago back at the No. 1 spot. I was so thrilled to win it, that I worked endless hours trying to win another,& though I never did, I never quit trying. We had a great team of agents there, however, though we had twelve, most of the time there was four or five players, but we did great because of our hard work. Later the desire to start my own returned so I left, & M. Zane came, therefore "Lone Wolf" began it's journey. The first week I almost gave up, but M.Zane kept cheering me on because it was so hard on us trying to set things up and find experienced agents, not already asked for by the top agencies, or in truth, who wanting to join the top agencies, & who wouldn't blame them? (because my computer knocks me offline)....please con't below
