I'm rather confused on what skill to get next. It would be helpful if you came to give me some advice.

Experience: 180
Archetype: Very Smart
Gender: Male
Total Skill Point: 1

Skills:
Footprint Analysis
Interrogation
Advanced Thread Analysis
Advanced Hair Analysis

I'm thinking of getting Stress Detection, so I would know when the suspects are about to clam up. What about Research? How do you use that skill? Thanks.

Definitely go for questioning skills but stick with tough as you've started on them, avoid the charm skills, no point getting both as it makes things harder. Then once you've got a few questioning skills get research and lock picking before finishing off the questioning and smart skills. That should keep you busy for a while!

Research is done in city hall.

From a post my wife did on this board a few days ago....

Quote:

"Research eliminates one suspect with a false alibi from your suspect list (basically, it lets you know this person has a false alibi, but will not match any P/E or W/E evidence)."

There ya go. :-)

Get intimidation to match your interogation techniques.

You should save skill points and get up to Advanced Intimidation and Advanced Interrogation. After That, get Lock-Picking. You have concentrated your skills with Smart points which is good for physical evidence but I bet when you get to intermediate and later, hard cases, people will be clamming up on you. Polish up your interviewing skills from now on.

To sum everything you all suggest me to do: First, I should focus on getting those Smart skills and because I chose the path of being tough, I should get going and build it up too. Am I right? Thank you.
