I didn't see this post on the day :p

Anyway...I remember when it happened. I was in school and I kept hearing that the World Trade Center was knocked down. I thought that the World Trade Center was a bank...then I found out it was the Twin Towers. I remember seeign it over and over again. It's really awful.

I hope that our troops come home safely and reunite with their families very soon and I feel bad about all the people that have lost their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers on the 9/11 accident. Innocent people who just went to work and innocent people who were going somewhere on a plane.

May our troops come home and may the family's prayers be heard.

"Death is the last foe to be defeated."

J.K Rowling

I remember myself in school. Seeing the clip over and over. I miss you all. Rest in peace. Remember everybody, evil exists when good does nothing. Stay gold while you can.

I was at my house watching it that morning.I was in awe.It was surreal.I was dating a girl in the Air Force at the time. The things they were doing as soon as it happened gave me the utmost respect for them.I'm from upstate ny and also lost a distant cousin that day in towers.I watched her for months come home get 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night then right back at at it.She was stationed at pope air force base in Fayettevile NC.Till this day if i see someone inthe service I thank them and buy a drink if were at a bar.Thier are real heroes.I've seen it first hand. They sacrafice everything for people they dont know and the people they love.

I just want to bump this thread up today. None of us should ever forget the events of this horrible day 7 years ago. I think about it year round, but more so on this day.

Thank you for bumping this, Ctown.

I think it's incredibly important to remember, not only the horrible 9/11 attacks, but all the terrorist attacks that have occurred in past and recent years all over the world.

People in countries who are used to living in freedom should also remember what it is like to live in fear, lest we take that freedom for granted!

I'm gonna say what a classmate of mine said... I sympathize with the families that lost their dear ones in the attacks, but it's been long enough without the constant reminders. We need to let America fully heal, forgive, and move on.

America has moved on, it doesn't mean we should forget.

Everyone please take a moment today to think about what happened 8 years ago today. It was a horrible day when thousands of innocent people lost their lives. They will never be forgotten
