I'm guessin' that's because you chose the Sleuth theme. Themes are basically backgrounds you can have on your computer screen. There are about a dozen or so of them for people to track down. And yes, there are variations to them, so they might be worth it for you. They're located in various places, in various cities. Some are free, some will cost you. Some are cheap, some are a couple thousand. Some involve doing various tasks to get them, some don't. I believe you come with two already set up for you. The rest, you have to go find. Look at the upper left corner of your screen after you select a different theme. You will see a slight change from classic sleuth to shady character. Although if you are unsubscribed, most of the image is blocked by the advertisement. That ad is not there for subscribed players. Most noticeable is the font Sleuth is written in. They do not do anything to change your game play, just provide a different look to the background image.
