Motive and Crime Scene

How is the motive related to the crime scene? Because I had a case wherein the killer had put his frustration to the body and the victim has made quite a struggle. So it made me think that the motive would be hate or insanity, but I falsely accused the suspect. It turned out the killer was the one with the motive of inheritance.
Your replies would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, it's not related at all. I think it's just random. At least, I ignore the crime scene description completely, aside from the evidence of course.

What you want to consider in an accusation is who has a link with physical evidence (as per one of the townspeople) TOGETHER WITH a false alibi or a stated non-alibi.

OR you can feel confident in accusing a suspect that TWO of the other suspects have fingered.
