Well, I'll tell you, with all the movies there, I would like to know what are the Sleuthers favorite quotes. You know, things said by characters that leave an imprint in you mind. It could be finny or sad or anything...as long as it isn't anything dirty. Well my favorite comes from the best comedy movie of 1985, based on the best-selling board game " Clue"

In the game, Mrs. White is a maid. In the movie, she's a widow that her husband has mysteryiously died...

Anyway Miss Scarlet says to Mrs. White if she miss her husband and in returned Mrs White says:

"Well you see it's a matter of life after death. Now that he's dead I have a life."

Anyway...what's yours?

Hi all...Newbie here.

Favorite script line in a movie for me, was when I recently saw the movie "Cold Mountain", in which the character Ruby stated something that
rings so true, even today.

To paraphrase...Ruby said: They call this war a cloud over the land. But men made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say, s**t
it's raining!

I also liked the line in the movie Justice For All, in which Pacino yells out to the judge: No, YOUR OUT OF ORDER!

Airplane!. Its an 80's movie.

Ted: Surely you can't be serious.
Doctor: I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.

Doctor: This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.
Stewardess: A hospital? What is it?
Doctor: It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Okay Soni -- you gotta stop saying ponyboy. The whole thing's a rip off from Dylan Thomas poem called 'Nothing Gold Can Stay', and it's making me feel like stuffing my riding chaps with hay and wheat and a bunch of other grains. And I really don't need no multigrain man-pants. My fibre intake is fine, thanks.

Yeah, and by "Dylan Thomas", what I actually meant was "Robert Frost". Who is known for his poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". Which is about a guy and a horse and the forest, which, ironically makes him a bit of a ponyboy.

Hmm...this is a toughie. But one of my all time favorites would be from the movie Brign It On: All or Nothing (groan if you want, but it's a funny movie).

In he movie the two cheerleading squads are in a competition and have to flip a coin to see who competes first in the finals. So Rihanna, in her guest appearance tosses the quarter and goes, "Call it, PV." (name of one of the squads)

And one dumb little cheerleader goes, "It's a quarter!"

The expression on her face was what made it so easy to laugh at her expense.
