Hi I am new here. I was playing the above mentioned mystery and the clues as well as the witness point towards someone who was killed before I could ask her questions. Please help in solving this.

Welcome, fellow sleuth.

First thing first, the name of the case is randomly generate. So it won't help with anything, anyway. (Unless you play a script mystery)

For your question. Dead person can't be guilty (at least in this game). So focus on the rest of the suspects who has no/fake alibi. Then try to match the person with Physical Evident (PE) and Witness Evident (WE).

Remember this overly repeat formula:
(None of your business) No alibi/Fake alibi + PE = Guilty
(None of your business) No alibi/Fake alibi + WE = Guilty
also WE + WE = Guilty

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. My dilemma is that the witness evidence and the physical evidence point to the person who was killed. Also, the evidence which was a footprint belonged to a slim person and all the other no/fake alibi people are heavily built. Still don't know how to go about it!

It could be that you are missing some PE. Such as a piece of hair or thread! And if you don't have those skills you won't be able to find them at the crime scene.

Good Luck!

Thanks. It might well be the case. So does the only option remain that I quit the case, because I have interviewed all suspects and nothing is proving conclusive.

If you can not solve the case using the formula, then the best option is to quit.

Remember to look for a match between someone with a fake/no alibi and either PE or WE. If the physical evidence matches someone with a real alibi, it doesn't mean anything. Each piece of evidence will match someone. Only one piece will match someone with a fake alibi.

There is absatively NOTHING wrong with quitting. It's much better than guessing and being wrong. Guessing makes you Shady's best friend around here, and very, very poor.

And again, we can give you advice and support til the cows come home and you're ready to send us all to Shady for retraining, but the only one who can actually solve your cases is you. Each case, evidence list, and suspect list is different each time for each and every player with random mysteries. So Good Luck and Happy Hunting with your next case!! ;-)
