New Feature Idea for Factions - 'Training'

I got a wild idea once again. This one will make use another aspect of six factions. I'm thinking about 'Special Training' that you can buy from affiliate faction.

The result will be 'permanent' boost your 3 stats (tough/smart/charm).
For example; You can ask for special training from Order of Socrates that will give you +2 smart permanently. But in order to train, your stand with them should be 50+. It will also cost a lot of money and one turn (case).

The training can be 'once in a life time limit' for each faction, or you can re-train. If re-training is available, the cost to train should be twice, and so on.

Since I only play in New York now, I don't know much about other factions to know which one should train which stats.

So, what do you think?

I say this a lot and I stress it is only my opinion and I don't want to force it on anyone but this seems to me to be another idea to make things easier, and I don't think Sleuth needs it. It's set right and any more of a boost to stats than those available (and no I've not get them all yet!) would make things to easy. With hard work your stats and skills and equipment get to the level where you don't need a short cut like permenant skill point oosts or extra skills to make cases easier.

If we were aiming for making things easier I think hand in hand would need to be another 2 levels of difficulty beyond AI. Again only my opinion.

besides of which I don't think you can get 50+ in any of the normal factions

You probably can, but it would take considerable effort and definitely take someone else's case files.

I have seen someone get up above 50 in a faction once, but they didn't stay there long (don't remember which one, offhand). Not entirely sure I understand why exactly you're wanting to 're-train' people, either for the first time, or for ensuing ones. Yes, the OOS tends to be a 'smart' faction, as it were. Some of the others are not as clear-cut, and I'm not sure where you're going with this concerning them. Also not entirely understanding why it should cost a boatload of money and only 'one case'. Perhaps some more clarification?? :-/

(And no, I'm not against making things easier, just trying to understand why and how they should be. ;-)

Definitely more than possible to be 50+... even 60+. And that's without taking someone else's case files.

Being that as it is, I'm against the idea.

Mappuzzle1 got up to over 70 in our agency, but that took a hell of a lot of effort ;)
