Factions and cases

First of all i apologise if this topic has been covered else where - i just couldnt find it if it has.

When doing a case and the dialog comes up letting you know that a faction will be happy to see the case solved and another faction want the case to go away, do you get faction points (from the intersted in "going away party") if you quit the case at that point of the investigation?

If you happen to quit the case, yes, you get one positive point from whoever the 'negative' faction was.

Example:

The Order of Socrates would like this case to be solved. (Positive)
The Dies Arcanum Brotherhood would like to see this case go away. (Negative)

If you manage to solve the case, you get one point positive for OOS. If you happen to quit the case, you get one point positive for DAB

The except to all this is for favor cases. During favor cases, the positive faction will stay neutral, even if you happen to solve the case. The negative rule still applies though for favors. (Sounds complicated, I know. It really isn't.)

Hope all that helps a bit. ;-)
