shanghai has a racetrack. new york could wall street. it would be the same coding as shanghai so it would be easy. instead of horses one just
list 10 stocks. instead of "placing a bet" one would make a stock purchase.
the betting line would just be a different stock price for each stock and the admin computer would pick a stock to go up and one to go down and you would make money or lose it.

I love this! I like the idea of having the stock market run just like the race track. Beautiful idea!

Since we've brought up Big Lucy....
Might there be a possibility of switching this idea from a stock market thing to more of a 'shady' card game or something? People have mentioned wanting to update the content at Big Lucy's for quite a while now, and I would think something like an underhanded poker game in the back room based on the above workings might be interesting....
As for the other cities, you would have found a Stock Market in London during the 1920's to '40's, but as for the other cities, especially Delhi....I rather think something along a 'secret card game' held somewhere in a back room would be more feasible. But that's just me. :-/

I much prefer the development of Lucy's idea to the stock market. Sameish idea but makes better use of Lucys that after one visit is rather dud!
