on a treasure hunt...know who the guilty suspect is because of the evidence and witnesses..however there is no motive and no one from the towns people to the suspects themselves will give me any information...what do you do in a case like that...unfortunately I had to give it up since you cant place a favor in the casefiles for another agent to work...is there a remedy for this...

You have the solutions. Either quit the case or put it in the case files and let someone else try to open it and see if anyone will talk. And you are correct, favors can not be stored.
