I'd like access when it gets back up and running - how would I apply? :)

roamie or ran or biggie can one of briefly explain what the Director's Lounge is or place link here to an old post please about it please, so that newer members and Director's can get clued in.

I confess to knowing very little about it. I Direct myself, so don't feel as though I count as a member :)

The Director's Lounge is an off-site forum created to let directors speak to one another regarding detectives to be wary of (black-listing), acceptable agency behavior, etc.

It's pretty much where directors of the large/mainstream agencies can meet up and talk in private.

and pray tell, (even though it's not fully functional at the moment it seems) where would Director's find this Lounge, or who would Director's approach to gain access.

Ooh, and is there a secret hand-shake :D

Yeah the directors lounge sound great.

A wonderful external and unregulated, un modified place to post comments about other players where they have no chance of defending themselves, wo-ho fantastic!

What's wrong with using Sleuth boards? Something to hide?

For one, they aren't there to bash people.

It was originally created for agency thieves and such. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

In a way, it really was wonderful for when we were having multiple agency thieves retiring and going under new names and identities stealing from countless agencies. It was necessary to keep from being robbed of everything.

And why not use the Sleuth boards? --- So we don't have to have pointless he said, she said arguments that no one wants to see cluttering Sleuth Talk. I don't want to see those.

Heh, for once, I agree with you Stooby ;)

As Jojo said though this was set up when there were a LOT of people using multis and stealing things from agencies.
(I'll find you the post :))

However, a lot of people even then didn't think there was a real need for it.
Because Director's PM each other about this anyhow.

I do think that your feelings are fair Stooby and I don't know when so many people feel there is an "inner circle" in Sleuth why this would be bought up now to reinforce those feelings.

I also don't know why it was needed to be bought up in public when people could have asked through PMs.

For the record, I do not agree with having a Director's Lounge, as a Director I could have signed up for this when it started but did not want too. I do though, understand why it was set up and why people wanted to join.

I agree with you Stooby that there is chance for people to defend themselves.
And I also don't think any of this needs to be bought up in public when we have a great new PRIVATE mail system.

I wouldnt exactly accuse it of being "Inner Circle" kind of stuff, being that any director could join. It was just an easier way to communicate than sending 30 PMs to every major agency director. It was started by Logan because we could not (and still can't) post about thieves, etc. on the boards as its considered harassing them or something.

But I see the point you guys are making too. It sucks for people not to be able to stick up for themselves so I think we should be able to have a public blacklist for thieves. :)
