Ben,

I was wondering if there was ever going to be anyway to sort of 'redo' your character. I’ve grown quite attached to Isha, but I chose a few skills when I was first starting that I really regret now.

Just tossing out an idea, but what if after you’ve gotten to a certain standing in a faction, you were given a one-time offer to ‘sell back’ a couple of your skills; probably not at full cost (i.e., I picked up Interrogation for 7 points, but I could get rid of it and get back 5 points). The reduced buy-back rate would keep people from changing everything, but it would give people an option to correct any mistakes they felt they made early on.

I could defiantly see that an unlimited buy-back option could really be abused, but I really dislike permanently being stuck with a skill that I got when I was still trying to figure out the game. I don’t suggest any major changes to the character like archetype or contacts, just some skills.

Thanks for any consideration you give to this idea and I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts.

Oh and, w00t, Sleuth rocks! :)

Maybe you could take 10 skill points per day and teach a class in exchange for one favor item or an increase in faction standing?

Yes, sorry. I need to take a good look at high level characters. I'm close to adding a few more skills, but as you've noted, the really exprienced detectives have so many skill points I'll never be able to create enough skills to user them all.

As for getting rid of unwanted skills, I'm not really sure how that would work. I could allow you to sell back skills for half the point value or something.

How about removing it and not returning any points? That would be fine with me!
