Okay, I'm not really sure how to phrase this. When you ask people if they know anyone with a motive... and later on, if they know anything about a specific person... is it always someone they know has a motive? Or does that not matter?

What I mean is, say random suspect Charlotte tells you about Dave and John's motives. Later on a townie tells you Charlotte thinks she knows who the murderer is. Should you just ask about Dave or John, or does it not matter at all who she provided you to begin with?

Narratively speaking, it seems it would make more sense that it would just be Dave or John she suspected, but I'm not familiar enough with this game yet to know if stuff always makes sense like that.
