I wanted to post this someplace else besides the Sleuth Con II post since that post should be about IDEAS and the positive things about all of us getting together.

Why does it really matter who organizes Sleuth Con? Its alot of work, a big headache and a financial burden to whoever is going to do it for us. Lets appreciate that someone took the initiative to do it. If you have some great ideas, share them, join up with the planning of it, but stop dividing us, please.

Sooooo, you dont like someone. I can think of maybe 1 or 2 people around here that I truly dislike. Why do I dislike them? Because of posts or messages sent back and forth. Would I go to a convention they put together. ABSOLUTELY. When I met them would I still dislike them? Probably not.

I know that not everyone can attend one convention. Some because of money, timing, etc. But why does it have to be because of who plans it? Wouldn't it be nice to see EVERYONE? Sure we bicker on the message boards, but do we really have to carry that over into real life?

I know alot of Sleuthers around here are teenagers, but it seems like the ones acting like teenagers are those of us who should know better, myself included.

Thanks for reading. The words typed above are just my opinion and are in no way meant to lecture or condemn anyone.

I agree with Roamie, anyone willing to put in the huge amount of effort to organise a convention deserves full credit. It's easy to post and bicker and moan on the boards but how many want to step up and be counted and actualy commit to the long term effort of organsiing a new convention?

I think a lot of people Stooby.

I actually agree with Roamie though. My comments before were not intended to cause any strife with anyone and while I'm disappointed that we will not be able to organize, myself and the others who were going to work with me would be glad to help, to keep this more of a community effort.

Im sorry for your disappointment Biggie, but they are great words from one of sleuths finest and brilliant for the community spirit of things, maybe we can all pull this back together after all.
