This thread is for ideas, suggestions, proposals, etc. NO idea is too silly to mention :) although some might be too impractical to implement.

As possibilities become probabilities, I will create another thread for the Con itself and concrete facts/decisions/information.

Ok, I need some more input from people on time frames. I know there is more than one of you that has suggested September. I need for all of you to please, even if you think it's impossible for you to attend at this time, post a time frame when it would be the BEST time for you to attend SleuthCon 2008.

At this time I have time frames on my list of the last weekend in June, the last couple weekends in July, Mid August, and September (no specified weekend).

So, at this time which of the above time frames would be best for you? I prefer posts here, but PM's are acceptable as well.

Thank you :)

Can't speak for September (Would depend on the Browns schedule as I have season tickets), but any other of those times are just fine with me.

Of course I can always find somebody to buy my tickets if it fell on a home game.

Try to keep away from major holidays since most people do like to spend that time with family. October would be nice. Have you decided which city this will be held in?

Columbus Day weekend would be a good time. People have an extra day off but it avoids being one of the big "travel" holidays.

how bout if the main feature of suscribing being the ability to draft into agencies. currently its only the suscribers that can join but perhaps its possible to make it so that unsuscribers can random into an agency whereas those with subscriptions can draft into agencies. i think this will help the game grow faster and give the subscribers more competition.

RS, I think you posted in the wrong thread. This thread is about next years Sleuth Convention!

Guess this isn't too popular looking at the other posts, but my thinking would be the earlier the better! September/October seems too long to wait! I think summer would be nice since people and/or their kids would be out of school. Would seem that more people's schedules would be flexible. But maybe I'm wrong.

And Biggie, I would love a job that actually gives Columbus day off!! I don't know any office jobs that do that any more. There is just no respect for the guy who stopped at the first piece of land he could see and thought therefore he was in India. It's the same corporate culture that ignores Arbor Day (long live the trees!) and Flag Day. Just can't win.

Before choosing a holiday date we should find out if anyone from Canada plans on attending. Canada has some but not all the same holidays as the U.S. And Treschaude, I hear you. My guess is biggie is either a school teacher or works for either a bank or the government. ;)

If I'd be able to go, August or Sept would be good for me :)

I can try to work around the dates, just need to know what dates are be considered and where! I no longer get Columbus Day off either, bummer. In the fall of 2008 I will be celebrating my 40th High School reunion, so I really need to get either Sleuth or the Reunion group to give me a date!!!! I want to attend both if possible.
