I had many cases in which crime scene had nothing with murderers motive but i wonder if crime scene and motives are some kind related? Usually what I do if I have no choice is eliminating those suspects which have motive that doesn't look like crime scene. Like if crime scene is oddly tidy I ask about robbery-motive suspect last.
