You've probably noticed already that we've finally replaced the old popup-based PM system with a proper Sleuth-Mail system (complete with multiple mailboxes and contacts lists).

There are undoubtedly a few bugs in the new system, and a few interface issues we'll need to clean up, but I hope everybody will be much happier with the new system.

Please leave feedback here regarding the new system (and laments about how much you miss the popups).

Hmmm, we'll think about checkboxes. However, I just want to remind you that every time a box is checked a pony dies.

Well you don't even want to KNOW what kills kittens then...

The new system is great, but is it slower than the old popup system?

I don't find it much slower, especially since you can refresh it whenever you want.

There is now a "delete all" button in each of your mailboxes (inbox, saved and outbox). I know its not as flexible as doing multi save/delete with checkboxes, but hopefully it's almost as good (because the checkboxes will have to wait for a few weeks).

Thanks Ben for the addition, it's a help and good to hear you are working on the checkboxes. Good to see you take notice of the feedback!

I too would like to have the mail icon flash when there's a new message. Leaving the window open is just as annoying as a pop-up and defeats your intended purpose. thats my 2 cents worth, oh I forgot inflation, thats my $1.69 worth.

I agree with Sophie4 and others. Some flashing indicator of new messages apart from always keeping the mailbox opened would be better. Having the mailbox open is almost like having an always-open pop-up.

Whenever the window is open and updates it nicks control to that window, like now, as I type when the message window updates my key strokes control the message window and stop typing here.

I usually keep my sleuth mail minimised and it pops up when a message comes in.
