is it just me or does the search boards function really not work most of the time?

I've been trying with different phrases, words, etc - at the best I get 2 links maximum - 90% of the time, they search function can't find any threads at all, even I find more than 5 threads with the exact same topic or one that uses the word in it when searching manually.

am I doing something wrong here? Some magic word that needs to be typed (like please ;-)
I thought that it would maybe improve after I had subscribed but nothing changed.

nope sir butcher I didn't - luckly sleuth has more to offer than searching boards ;-)

and just like all the others I only ever tried single words anyway - it simply doesn't work at all, which is a shame, as the board's style (and the naming of topics) doesn't really help searching for information by hand either

Yep I submitted a bug report the other days saying 'does not work'. That's about as expressive as I could get.

I've found that doing an advanced search on Google works. I fill in the "Only return results from the site or domain" form with http://noir.playsleuth.com/map/cityhall/.

ps: it'd still be great if the search function on the board worked though :-)
