I just have been having terrible luck in sleuth. for the last few days most of my cases have my clients as guilty suspects. Now I thought of getting Pickpocketing, and I started with the really hard case.
I solved it, and I am 750 dollars short on account of multi bribes and no fees.... And I m none too wiser.
Anyone else having their bad days???

Well my dear we all have days like that! Have you thought of subscribing? If you do, you can join an agency and get help with those cases without paying the bribes. Wait till you do those villian hunts. There are days it costs me $2000 to solve a case :) Have fun and don't forget those favors as the money is better from them!

Yeah! I need to earn something before I can subscribe. Anyways I am depending on the favours to help me with money problems.

Getting your second contact will help a lot too. So hang in there.

When I need exp and skill points, I hit up the hard stuff. If I'm just strapped for cash, I cut my losses and head for the easiest cases I can take. They may not may as much, but I'm usually not spending money on bribes, either.
