I solved a favor case and received a golden turban. I already had a Beret. I was told I had to sell one. I sold the Beret. Also I have 10 skill points and I have a chioce to pick either intermediate sweet talking or footprint analysis. I already have Thread analysis, advanced tread analysis, judge of character, rule bending, advanced rule bending, sweet talking, hair analysis and flirting. Thank you in advance.

You are smart and charming (lucky you!) but all your equipment is also smart - so you have no support on being charming - which you will need to get suspects to talk to you. You have plenty of smart items for your level. I don't remember what berets are good for - but I'd suggest you try to balance out with more charming equipment. It really helps!

I would go with sweet talking before footprint analysis, although both are useful skills.

Sweet Talking skills need to become more advanced to prevent people from clamming up too early in the higher level cases.

Footprint analysis will help you find more footprints and note whether they come from slim or heavy people.

As to the beret and the turban, if you compared the attributes and picked the one that helped your skills most, then you did right.

If you subscribe and join an agency, you will have the choice to store items won in favors in your equipment locker in addition to the choice to wear or sell them.
