The cases of Travis White.
His favorite word:gosh.
habit:never leaves his leather hat.

I sat in the back booth of the bar, waiting.
I had recieved a call earlier from a friend. He was a cop and a detective as well.
The room was dimely lit,and was nearly empty.
The smell of cigar smoke wafted to where I was sitting,I fought against the urge to sneeze.I hated this place.

I had waited about 30 minutes before he showed up,I was just about to give up and leave. He walked over while looking over his shoulder as if someone was watching him.
He slid into the seat across from me and was silent for a minute. His hat and coat were soaked from the rain. The water began to dribble on the table.
Finally he spoke.
"I need your help Travis,I have been on a case for several weeks now,and I have lost my prime suspect. He has up and disapeared. My Boss Mr Malory took me off the case today and theres nothing I can do."
I listened patiently as he told me about a robbery,Mrs Arnell had kept her Jewelry in a safe and apperently was broken into 2 weeks ago. After searching they found a prime suspect,Tony Vincent. He was one of the best, and no one was ever able to find evidence against him and he always got away.
"I have the proof!"my friend,George stated loudly.
a couple heads turned.I asked him to lower his voice a little.

I twirled my hat in my hands as I thought.
"Gosh George,What do you want me to do?"
George looked around to see if anyone was listening, being satisfied he said,
"I need you to go to his apartment and see what you can find."
I felt him slip some find of key and a piece of paper to me under the table.
"I'll see what I can do."
George got up and quietly left, and I followed soon after.

As I walked back home I thought about what he had said.
suddenly I knew what I had to do,it was that urge, that desire,It was a case!

Shady Guy in the Back

Shady had little reason to approach anybody. Usually. If he needed anything, which he didn't, the right guy would always... open the sandwich for him, if you will.

Before now the time was never right for him to risk placing his mustard in the spotlight, but seeing that people were asking questions ever since his long time rival, Larry the Toe, had been scumming up his Diet 7-Up reputation by smashing his Feet Gang in it, Shady, now was the only time to drink the last of the cup that was now half empty.

The Shady who was not so slim saw the perfect opportunity, like a rusted spork from a Wendy's trash bin. Just as expected, Travis White slunk down the lane that lead to the apartment of one of the many victims in this town. Creeping out of a dark alley just to see White's startled expression, Shady crackled in his ever soothing voice, "I hear you accomplice George has fallen into quite a pretty pickle; there is that **ahem** ...certain parties may have the ability to unlock this jar... for a price." Shady lit up a cigar with a smile as sinister as Don Ronald McDonald himself.
