"I hate this city right now... urgh I can't believe I'm about to do this again..." Arsenio said to himself as he stood at the railings of the boat. He knew that New York was only a few kilometers away.

"Arsenio NO!" said a voice from behind.

Arsenio didn't bother to look back. He only said two words before jumping off the boat.

"Make me."

And with a splash Arsenio started his swim back to New York. Once again he would need new clothes. But this time he knew Bishop Victor would not give him any.

"I guess I should make new ties with Christopher..." Arsenio said as he started on back to New York...

It was dawn when Miss Violet Parr tightened her silk purple scarf around her head. She looked towards Mrs. Georges, who lay there sleeping on the bed. She turned with grace to inspect her two violet suitcases and managed a satisfied smile. Her thoughts were decisive: She could not deal with her parents right now, going back to London was impossible and even saying goodbye to Christopher would prove trying.

She brushed aside her doubts and fears resting upon her upcoming decision. She approached Mrs. Georges’ sleeping figure and took one last sweeping look at her: There was no scenario in fantasy or imagination where she would call this woman ‘Mother’. Nevertheless, Violet Parr felt highly apologetic for dragging an elderly lady halfway around the world through the highly illegal act of kidnapping.

Miss Parr felt that she herself was kidnapped away from the truth, yet the fact that she was wronged did not deter her from trying to rectify her own mistakes. She knelt to Mrs. Georges, whispered a very polite apology and kissed her upon her forehead. She then proceeded to make her way out of the room leaving it unlocked. She turned towards Mrs. Georges and whispered to her sleeping figure: “It is all in your own hands now Aisha. The early bird gets the worm, and in any case waking up so late is a show of very bad manners.”

With a polite nod, Miss Parr sailed from her room to Christopher Keller’s room. She opened the door ever so slightly so as not to wake him. She glared at him with admiration. This man even shed tears for her and went through with all the impossible decisions, events and happenings she was entangled in. She felt slightly proud, as a mother would seeing her child grow and mature. Violet Parr knew Christopher Keller would go very far.

She extended her palm with grace to him and smiled. Christopher Keller was asleep, but at least she got her chance to say goodbye.

Violet Parr had now made her mark.

She was glad that the upsetting ending she was met with earlier explained it all to her: Her relationship with her mother, which was always different when compared to that Madhuri Parr had with the rest of Violet’s brothers. Her father’s preferential treatment of her was also explained: She was the fruit of his passionate flame with a woman whom time and unhealthy living had withered. She also now understood Frank Georges’ unfounded contempt for her, which harboured by jealousy and other negative notions.

Miss Parr wore her large dark sunglasses, and made her way to the motel concierge. A young girl has now replaced the odd looking man. She politely handed her the money, completed all the checkout formalities and left the motel to the streets of Shanghai. She was determined to make it to her destination where she believed she would find healing and light.

Violet Parr arrived at the docks.

The ticket clerk looked surprised when she told him her destination, but after checking her invitation he handed over the ticket.

Over the course of the long journey, the rest of the passengers gradually disembarked at their own destinations, until on the final leg of Miss Parr’s journey, the unlikely looking train track started winding its way into the high Himalayas. Violet Parr soon realized she was the only passenger left.

She knew exactly what kind of City this was, and it was perfectly clear to her what she would find when she got there.

"Urgh... I'm not doing that again." Arsenio said as he got up the docks.

Arsenio threw his Deringer on the dock only to realize that this wasn't New York.

"Where...?" Arsenio stood and took his Deringer. Arsenio removed his trench coat to dry it off the rising sun.

Arsenio was lucky to catch some crate-loaders to ask where this was.

"Excuse me sir. Where is this place?" Arsenio asked.

"It looks like ye' swam to this place 'eh? Bah' anyway welcome to Chicago lad. Don't worry I'm not goin' to tell anyone. You do know they got immigratin' laws 'ere? Anyway I got to go. I'll see ye' round' lad."

"Chicago... I need to get out of here..." Arsenio said to himself.

Arsenio looked around for a ship or a train to stowaway into but to no avail.

"Guess I'll be staying here for awhile. Best lay low"

Arsenio fixed his berret and headed on into the unkown places of Chicago...

Squire ran out of the room as Deutchie Man booted him out. His charm allowed him to flirt for a while and Violet bought him drinks. Lucky guy.

Jeanne De La Motte stood upon the Shanghai Docks as she saw Violet Parr's ship sail away. She shook off all her notions of fear from the men that started attacking her with malicious gazes. Everyone here knew who she was. Everyone also knew exactly why she was back.

The darker side of Jeanne De La Motte was about to be uncovered. She inhaled the sea breeze and took in her current situation. She smiled to herself as she took off her overcoat and uncovered more of her skin.
