I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Is the game fun? Really fun, kind of fun, funner than going to the dentist?

2) Can you think of anything that would make the game more fun?

3) Is the game too hard? Too easy?

Thanks
-Ben

Very fun concept. I like it being not with fancy graphics and all. But even good things can do with a little improvement. My suggestion is to make the game as realistic as possible. This involves investigating matters such as murder weapons, cause of death, fingerprints, fake witnesses. Also the detective should be able to blackmail suspects, witnesses or political factions. With all the remifications that might come from that of course. It would be exciting if the detective can be harassed and has to learn defense skills or "buy" protection. A more indepth survey of the minds of the suspects will also contribute to "reality". The detective could learn to become a profiler.

BadAss, there is a blackmailing skill, although it's hard to tell, as it's called surveillance. We at Mojo Jojo call it blackmailing, though.

This surveillance also includes blackmailing political faction leadres?

Nope. The surveillance skill lets you blackmail one suspect per case, if it works, which is a matter of the gear you are wearing as well as luck. It's not exactly what you want, I suspect, but I just wanted you to know that there IS a blackmailing skill...and it can be very helpful with those clammed up suspects when you need one of them to talk!

*isn't a big fan of the banner ads by the message boards now but will try to adapt to them if they are good for the site and Ben*

As long as there is a message board format change, would it be possible to either move the "last page" link or add another one at the TOP of the first post of a thread? Some of them are long enough that I have to scroll down to get to that link, and, being lazy...

On the last surveys that went sent out i noticed something that mentioned about buying a slueth notepad or something like that. Any idea if that is actually going to be available. Im a pen and paper type of detective and it would re really good to have something official to slueth

Thank you!!!!!

Of course, at first, I couldn't find it. Then, I realized! It was my own suggestion that was tripping me up!

But not for long!

Thank you so much Ben for being your incredibly responsive self!

I haven't managed to read the whole of this read ( I manged to get up to the middle of 2004 before I skipped to the last page) so please excuse if I repeat anything.

I was reading that the high up detectives find solving cases a bit routine. So I was wondering about a case where your detective is frammed and you have a limited amount of time/questions to solve the case and clear your name... or else your detective is convicted (retired). I've been trying to figure how this might be made workable, but haven't come up with any ideas yet (perhaps your agency would be allowed to help you out).

Maybe you could start a case. The police haven't visited the crime scene yet, and when you visit the crime scene your hear/see something that makes you jump. The slip and your foot fails out at the victim and lands in a pool of their blood. You jump up and flee the scene, but your coats gets snagged on the way out.

As you flee the house the Police are arriving and see. They give chase, sirens blaring. You slip into an alley and manage to give them the slip. You slip off to talk to your political faction/contact and they tell you it has all the hallmarks of another faction trying to frame you (preferably one that hates you). They recomend you flee town before the cops catch you. You'll get a few moves to ask around or visit the crime scence. Spend too long in town and you get caught.

You sneak down to docks first thing in the morning and stow away on the first ship to another country. You then get given the run around by the politcal factions.

Once you think you have enough evidence you return home and try to clear your name. Perhaps you get a few moves to check your facts. Then you either flee again or confront the police. If you're right your name is cleared. If not... well you've just handed yourself over to the police.

Just a suggestion. c.c
