I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Is the game fun? Really fun, kind of fun, funner than going to the dentist?

2) Can you think of anything that would make the game more fun?

3) Is the game too hard? Too easy?

Thanks
-Ben

Actually sometime ago I had talked with Bella about a toughness booster. I originally envisioned it as Fighting ability that would work against a person of the same gender but after awhile realized that idea in that form wouldn't work. Menacing or Street Rep. are better names for it.

As for Smarts Skills for the Lab There could be something like Detailed Analysis which could offer a small chance of identifying the Suspect that a piece of evidence belongs to if the person has the suspect in their list. Especially since the Lab offers Equipment that one can't bring to the crime scene and since lab work would be done at a slower pace than what would be done in the field

Dear Admin,

I have just started playing Sleuth and I really am enjoying it so far. I intend to subscribe as soon as the bank finds my mislaid 05 credit card that should have arrived by now! However, as a complete newcomer offering, I have the following criticisms:

1) Motives - I think some of them are a little silly and they're a bit repetitive. For example, how many insane people with no sense of morality are there? Also, regarding the long-forgotten slight, if it's so long-forgotten why are they worried about killing someone for it?
2) The story pages are also a bit repetitive. I've solved at least four cases now in which the victim had a twin that intended to replace them.
3) If something could be done to actually inject a bit more real motive and story into the games, that would be really good. I know that's difficult, though, due to the random nature.
4) I really liked the idea of being able to put pressure on a suspect when they lie to you. When I first came across a false alibi, my first reaction was to return to the suspect and find out why they lied. If it's the killer, maybe he could cover it with further lies and excuses.

Well, that my euro's worth of free advice! I'm not knocking the game - I keep playing it so it's gotta be doing something right. Also, I know as an unsubscriber I'm not getting the full features, so I can't comment wholly on the game. Hope the above helps though.

Yes, those icons look good. But is it just me, or did the resolution of the map itself become lower? It looks more blurred now, or maybe this is deliberate?

Hmmm...I am on dial up and miss the icons that loaded much faster on the leftside. It takes a while for the map to load. Although, I do notice that the map icons are coming up a bit faster than they used to. (Guess I just have to find someone that provides a faster connection out here.) :) Thanks for always trying to keep things new and fresh around here. *wonders if changes are to keep us busy so we stop thinking about new equipment* :)

Wayne, I don't think the map has changed, it was always a bit blurry. The contrast between the old icons and the map was much greater. I think it drew the eyes to the icons more. The new ones all are shades of grey like the map, making it easier to see it as one, instead of focusing on individual parts.

To the contrary the map seemed to load immediately for me. I LOVE THE NEW ICONS! Though I did spot the Sleuth ad yesterday. Glad to see banner gone today by the way.

I liked the old format better, but I like the new icons better than the old ones. What I mean is that I liked the way that before we could access a shop from two seperate places, but now we can only click on the map icon to get to the shop, however, I do like the new look on the map since I love the new icons (especially the one for the music teacher). My only comment about the map layout for the future is that I personally think the map would look better in the center of the screen.

Incidentally I don't think the map resolution actually got blurrier, I think parts of the map just got darker and this makes some things look blurred. In my eyes at least, the proof of this is in the depiction of the park (and the "e" in the word "Central" written over the park).
