I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Is the game fun? Really fun, kind of fun, funner than going to the dentist?

2) Can you think of anything that would make the game more fun?

3) Is the game too hard? Too easy?

Thanks
-Ben

I'm planning to add a way for detectives to team up as Detective Agencies. Buying realestate will be how you start an agency.

I was thinking that players could help each other with cases, and maybe work on some bigger puzzles together.

I haven't really figured it out yet, I'll probably put up a thread on this board asking for input soon.

1) The game is fun.

2) More items to buy (I do like how you can get special items from doing favours), more different random special events... This stuff will probably accumulate over time.

3) It's quite balanced. I started on beginner, then that got easy, I moved to easy, then that got easy, and I'm now on Intermediate. It's not too difficult anymore either, but I've still got more levels to climb. So I'd say it's about right.

P.S. I actually like the fairly strict daily mystery limit. It a) puts everyone on an even level, no matter how much time they have to spend playing. b) stops you from spending all day when you should be doing something else... Please keep some sort of limit, even if you do make it higher! It makes the game fairer.

Oh, and being able to add your own picture would be fun! But I guess that would take a fair bit of admin time, making sure the pics weren't rude etc.

it'd be nice if, as soon as i know that an alibi is fake for example, i could use my knowledge to increase my pressure on the subject.
i.e. "ms.gibbons, why did you tell me you were with the waiter when you weren't?"
also interesting: "i found your threatening note, ms. gibbons..."

thought this suggestion could probably help you.
i'm usually playing at hard level but i already had to quit two cases and once i falsely accusated a suspect

oh, and i agree to Jakarta. it would certainly increase the fun if people gave you misleading evidence for a reason.

Well, I think it's plenty hard enough at the hard level. Intermediates are easy without too much extra help but I can no longer get skill points for them. Hards are too hard. I don't have enough skills to get people to talk to me, so I'm in a catch 22. I can no longer advance. At hard I usually have at least two suspects that won't say anything at all and I run in to the situation where it isn't even possible to determine who all the suspects are let alone whether any of them have alibis.
It is a good game, just needs tweaking, in my opinion.

Chuck,

You can still earn skill points for lower levels, it just takes more cases.

For example, Intermediate cases earn you half as much experience as hard. Right now, if you are earning one skill point per Hard case solved, you will get one skill point for every other intermediate case you solve. So technically, you could still advance just doing Easy cases, but it will take a long time.

My advice to you is to go back to Intermediate for a few days, and beef up one of your interviewing skills.
