I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Is the game fun? Really fun, kind of fun, funner than going to the dentist?

2) Can you think of anything that would make the game more fun?

3) Is the game too hard? Too easy?

Thanks
-Ben

I think the penilty for false accusations is much to harsh, costing you 2 case of that level and double the money would mean it would not be worth guessing.

But if the penilty was not so tough you could put subties in the texts and behaviours suspects that give clues to the guilty suspect that wasn't so stated. For example I have noticed that increadibly hard cases have 5 fake/no alibis and 3-4 real, but I would never use that information to accuse or even not consult fates because I can't guarantee it.

Huh?

I didn't understand much of that, so I'll just say this: if you understand that it isn't worth guessing, why are you looking for a new way for the game to tell you that it isn't worth guessing? You already know that, right?

I'll admit that on some levels, this game is as intricate and complex as learning sign language from an epileptic octopus, but on another, it's just really, really simple.

WE + Fake/No alibi = Guilty
PE + Fake/No alibi = Guilty
2 WE = Guilty

Stick to that and you won't have anything to worry about.

It is not worth guessing i understand that it is just I have done 1186 cases and even if I don't gues and only make a mistake (click on the wrong person acidently I have done that once) 0nly 0.1% inaccuracy I don't want to doing cases just to pay larry of for a month. I don't know how much it costs at my level but nothing is cheap in this game.

What i am saying is that the pelaty is so high that you can't even read stuff into the game, I can do a level 1000 (made up example) times see that there are only ever been 5 no ablibis suspects in the level but I cannot ever use it to imply a guilty because the price is too high. That is not guessing. If I get a 3 false accusation at this level I will probably quit and not come back in discust.

If the price of failure was lower you could make plot twists have sutle meanings that people could work out, at the moment no matter how much I read it unless an admin says to me this means X I cannot assume it.

I short it may allow the twists to mean something, at the moment I don't even bother reading them anymore.

I much prefer the "in short" version.

You are saying that if this was a different game, the twists could mean something more than they do now. And, you're saying that you are never more than three feet away from a calculator.

Thanks, by the way, for copy-pasting that whole thing and sending it to me in a PM. Seeing it twice was absolutely helpful.

There are a number of threads that are very clear about telling people not to make assumptions, so any false accusations you've made while chasing rainbows with finger-epilepsy remain your own responsibility. As well, there are a number of things you can feel safe assuming in the game, without verification from an admin. One of them actually involves the twists.

Have fun digging through threads.

I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Great Fun, very addictive...love the accessories

2) More mysteries per day, and if the game was interactive.

3) Well, I started 21 days ago, and am doing the Incredibly hard level and above. I have joined an agency and am enjoying the treasure hunts.
It does seem a little repetitive, the graphics are repetitive and I t hink it wou ld help to have a more modern look. It has a very DOS look and feel.

I get very frustrated with the clam uppiness of all the characters, sometimes I don't have any back ground info to make an informed decision.
When I can't make an informed one, then I quit, usually because I don't want to guess wrong.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I have a problem , and that is I actually recruited a person. Wildman1 about 10 days ago, I sent her the sidekick coupon but she did not subscribe using it.
She paid full price and I did not get credit for a sidekick.
Can this be fixed?

I will cross post this too.

Ari

Thanks
-Ben

lol ah I'm getting old, DOS is the 'new Noir'.

'Sleuth DOS' though does have a nice ring to it ...

I think Ariadne that the DOS feel is to try and give the game a retrospective look. In this instance the game is supposedly set some time in the late 192o's-40. The creators have tried to give it that old black and white gangster movie feel to it. So a more 'colourful' approach might miss the point, somewhat.

I'll repeat what Jas said in Newbies about the sidekicks here as well. Unfortunately it's just bad luck that Wildman chose not to take it up and get the discount. I am glad though that you're enjoying the game enough to share that enjoyment with other people.

Oh and Welcome Wildman. :)

lol and we all get upset by the clam-uppiness of the suspects and townies. Thems the breaks though. As you progress so will your skills & gear and the the chance of clam-uppiness will diminish (but never completely). Patience is key.

Happy Sleuthing.

Squirrel out.

1) I think the game is great for rainy days. As I'm not a surbscriber yet, there isn't much to do though.

2) I wish that non-subscribers could get a couple of more actions, as there are a lot of poeple who can't afford (or don't have paypal) to subscribe. Of course people who pays should get a lot more fun, but I think it's a bit too big difference...

3) I think the game is ok, cos you can chose the difficulity you want.. If people think it's hard, they can chose intermediate or easy ;)
