I have a couple of questions I'd like some feedback on. Please Answer by replying to this post.

1) Is the game fun? Really fun, kind of fun, funner than going to the dentist?

2) Can you think of anything that would make the game more fun?

3) Is the game too hard? Too easy?

Thanks
-Ben

Is anything in the works to help us spend all the money we are accumulating? We've got enough now that its not much motivation to get more.

Maybe you could offer a drug habit that cost $1000 a day, but let you think much faster.

Or special treasure hunts that you need to spend $3000 per agent to send your folks to the Bahamas.

Or something more special in equipment to buy. Or better housing? Or furniture? Or charities that rasie your status? Or a hot tub for our office that relaxes us and gives us 'deep insights'?? Maybe you could charge a hookup fee for the new service of letting us see who's logged on in our agency? We are still scrambing to earn skill points but the money is sort of beside the point now.

Is it possible to have the IM's show what you last typed to a person, so that when you get a response (and maybe you are logging in hours or *shudder* even days later) you know what they are talking about? Also would it be possible to have a chat lounge for the agency rather than just a message board? It would be more spontaneous than the board but include more people than the IM's - then we could have an agency "meeting" and brainstorm on things in real time.

Also, to respond to the official question (although last post is a kind of response to #2):

1. The game is REALLY fun for me. Especially subscribing and being in an agency. What I am not sure is about the longevity. Will I be obsessed for a while, and then will it pall as I discover I can, with the help of my colleagues, solve any case at all with ease?
2.Following from that, what I think would make the game more fun would be more complications. I have just discovered I can work hard enough cases that there can now be two people with no alibi that also have physical evidence against them and two separate accusations from other characters. This is good! But will there also be such things as even sneakier behavior on the part of the witnesses? Like two people working together to frame someone else, so saying they suspect him in concert but lying? Or corrupting the tailor to give false information, which however he won't do if he happens to be your contact? And so on... and then we'd need to have the tools to deal with those events. Like agencies needing all contacts so they could check for possible discrepancies and false testimony. Also I agree with the person who said that newer agency members should be allowed to use their contacts to help out even with cases that are above their level - that's more realistic. Just don't let them solve or get credit for the cases - that's more realistic, too!

What's NOT fun is having a case clam up so that no one in the agency can even get all the suspects to show up. A colleague asked for motive first, the third person clammed, and that was it for the case. If my skills aren't up to getting the case at least to the point where collaboration will possibly solve it, then I don't want to be able to open that case.

Suggestions:

In the case files, could there be some sort of "originating agent" label that doesn't go away? Sometimes when I am helping someone, I forget whose file it is. Now I am trying to write it down, but it would be great if it were just on there.

Also re: case files, it would be great if I am working on someone's case and finish my part if I could put it back in their five allotted case slots (assuming they have an open slot). Otherwise when agents are logged off, my files can be overtaken by theirs and then I can't work on other people's cases or store my own.

I've thought this would be good for the equipment locker, too - not so that we can't share items, just so if someone leaves, that person, along with everyone else in the agency, knows what's fair for that person to take.

Also re: the equipment locker, have you been following the discussion about the "hanger" concept?

Would it be possible to list the suspects in an unchanging order - ie, not insert new ones into the middle but add new ones onto the end so that for those of us who take notes we have an easier time making our order match that on the screen?

And along with that, it would be nice to have numbers next to the suspects so that we don't have to keep counting them over and over on the higher levels to make sure we've got the complete list.

I love the game as it is; I just think all these things would make the experience even more enjoyable.

Thanks!

We are really excited in The Underground for having begun to get the knack of the treasure hunts. Everyone is working very hard on this. Would it be possible to show all the people who helped on the display in the trophy room, not just the last person? I've been the last person twice, and while I enjoy the glory, I think the others should partake of the glory as well :)

I'm a newb but still

1. It is fun, would we be here if it wasnt?

2. I'd like maybe 5 mysteries a day or something, 3 is an awful time to have to stop but it's your game etc. so I cant really complain.

3. Not too hard or easy, challenging I suppose but not in a horrible way, in an enjoyable way.

Kepp up the good work.

ok, of course this game is fun. More fun...well I loved these ideas, mentioned previously,
Town Gossiper idea is great! So was the buy a drink or something and overhear info. Maybe combine the two with buy the town gossiper a drink...
Early repetition does bore, more storyline bases. I started a week ago and am bored stiff with the same 'ol, I have noticed it starts to change as you advance, but I almost thought this game was going to get really boring fast because of the repitition.
One last thing, for the newbies, you should put in the help file that to "logout" is to save your game for next time...I was scared to quit in the middle of a game for fear of being marked as quitting or something.
One more last thing, maybe some duhduhduh daaaa music for sudden scary parts...
One more one more last thing...add PST or CST or EST or Zulu (sorry can't spell) times to message boards so we can figure out when the last message really was posted.
