sorry for posting so many Qs but ive got so much to learn :P

ive read about the factions n was wondering..

before i join an agency should i make sure my standing with a faction matches the location where the agency is based?

like for eg my current standing is highest with costa nostra(12) which is based in lon n NY..n negative points with arcanum n socrates...

so do i have to choose an agency in either these lon/ny? what if i wanna join an agency in shanghai or delhi? how do i reduce my standing with my current faction n erase my negative standings with the other?

i read dat u need certain amount of points with the correct faction to join in a treasure hunt n i dont wanna be gaining merits with the wrong faction..wat should i do?

Most established agencies do not care what your current faction standings are, as those are dynamic and change over time.

It becomes important for opening up treasure hunts:

+1 to talk to a faction
+10 to open up hunts (must be in an agency and subscribed)
+25 to purchase the skill (plus the skill points)
+30 to get the best price on gear


You do not need to worry about reducing your standing with the factions in NY when you leave the city. You will go up with the factions in your new city and the other scores drop slowly each day you are not involved with that faction.

I'd say to wait after you joined. Then ask the directors if they need you to try for certain contacts or factions.
The standing with other factions will dro[p down automaticly.
