False accusation

In one intermediate case, all the suspects clammed up and i couldnt get alibis from some of them.

There were 6 suspects altogether, 1 was killed off, the other 2 had fake alibis and 3 clammed up before i could ask. I wasted a lot of my Qs asking about motives becoz my client seemed to be motiveless and I had to get someone to say something bout him.

So finally, since I only had 2 hair evidence left, i asked the barber n he said it belonged to one of the suspects who clammed up before saying her alibi.

i accused her n it turned out to be the wrong person. What should i do in future cases to avoid this from happenin again? Quit? Or is there another method of elimination?

thanks!
