In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

Every mad scientist needs a steadying hand, and wise counsel to say occasionally, 'Yes, yes dear, World Domination sounds lovely, but how about you just concentrate on the AVL for tonight'.

Serges better half - and needless to say:

GOOOOOOOOO NUUUUUUUUUTTTTSSSS

Vote for Kagome_70!!

Well, everyone, I wanted to say a few words about FILLEMALIGNE. Her name says it all. Clever girl. Cunning girl. I prefer sick girl. In a good way of course. She'll keep you on your toes. She's crass, she's sexy, she'll make you blush, she's insanely witty and intelligent. Hell, if she can keep Crunch and Serges on their toes, that says wonders. Sleuthville is lucky to have her in this community, and the masses should vote for this unique lady...if you don't...I have to sleep on the couch!

VOTE FILLEMALIGNE!!!

I know this is a hard choice. Both candidates are great directors, who have put away a bunch of arch villans. But, I wanted to say a few words about Helen.

Helen has truly been a fantastic mentor for me. She always takes time to answer my millions of questions. And I can always count on her. She is friendly, poised and fair. Helen is one of the nicest, most approachable people I've met, an active member of the chat room, a friend to all members (new or old) , and Sleuth wouldn't be the same game without her.

VOTE HELEN!!

Yes, vote Helen. But also vote Crunchpatty. (A time machine may help you with this.) Crunch (SMRT's newest Director, I am proud to say!) is more than just a funny face. Read through his Post History, and you'll find him to be unfailingly helpful, dedicated, and committed to helping everyone in this community, whether it be newbies with questions, the detective recruitment board, or just by contributing intelligently and thoughtfully to general Sleuth issues. He also is a mod, and as such volunteers his time to make sure that our community stays safe and (relatively) sane. Sleuth is a better place because of him, so please consider voting Crunchpatty tomorrow.

Also, I see Ranier is up for grabs tomorrow. You wouldn't really want to grab him, actually, because he'll grab you back, but you should certainly vote for Ranier Peperhaut. He (well, she, but let's all just try to stay within character here) is also one of SMRT's directors, and is a colleague and a fellow Canuck whose dedication and enthusiasm have been more than appreciated both at SMRT and in the community at large. He is an excellent player, a rabid AVLer, and overall is a great asset to all of us. A vote for Ranier is a vote for free popcorn WITH topping, people, so mark your X next to his name tomorrow!

VOTE HELEN!!!

This girl is amazing. The commitment she puts into staying awake in the name of Sleuth puts even me to shame! She keeps me company, and keeps me sane on those long, cold, wet English nights. She's been there when I needed to laugh, cry (in a macho way, of course...), scream or moan. She has helped both me and others with all our problems, and I know I can trust her implicitly. I am proud to be her BFFL :)

She deserves your vote, not because Crunch doesn't (cos he's a swell guy), but because she is so committed to help others, and such a nice person to talk to. So vote for Ms Helen Corning!

*Knows he will now be whipped by Crunch's new monogrammed towel next time he brings it in for cleaning*

so, yeah... VOTE HELEN!!!

Aw shucks... thanks Ara!

Sooo.... VOTE FOR ME!

Why? Cause if you do I WILL give you free popcorn AND free topping. (Please note I did say topping, not real butter, because real butter costs extra.)

And, as if that's not enough...

If you vote for Chelsea she'll have to stop doing evil things to take time to make her post on the boar... oh wait.

umm... okay.

If you LIKE evil, vote for me, cause then she can keep doing evil.
If you DON'T like evil, vote for her, cause then she'll stop... wait. That doesn't work either...

Okay, okay, just VOTE FOR ME and forget about everything I just said. Chelsea Bando? She will continue to do evil things if you like evil things and she will stop if you don't. A vote for me will in no way affect her behaviour. Of course I can't promise she'll either continue or stop, that's really up to her. But vote for me anyway.

YAY!!!

I would also like to add: GO CRUNCHY!!!!

He kicks bum (sometimes literally) and he's really funny.
If you don't vote for him, he can't win the entire competition! Where's the justice in that?
