In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

I'm bringin' sexyback, cause I just kicked a disco ball in and had someone photograph me while I was doing it and then I put it on the cover of my new album that has a song where I sing "I'm bringing sexyback."
And I have this new movie coming out where my nympho girlfriend gets chained up by Samuel L Jackson, well not really him, but a character played by him. And I wrote this new song called What Goes Around Comes Around and I promise it doesn't sound anything like Cry Me A River, and it is so not about Britney, I swear.

Oh wait, that's JT. Sorry.

Hellooooooooooo, I am Ranier Peperhaut the 22nd. Well, not really. The first, but I don't use that. I just wanted to sound cool.
I say vote for me!!! It's not that my competitors don't rock, cause they can dance the pants off Dick Clark any New Year's, it's just that... well... hmm.
Just cause that's the point of the game. And it's March! March is a time for carrazzzyyy antics!

Though Crunch is wrong, I am not 8 feet tall, I'm merely 7 foot 9 and 7/8 of an inch thank you very much, I'm not mean. Of course I won't let you in to the movies if you don't vote for me, but really, who can hold that against me?

Biggs, of course, is right on all accounts. One day Crunch might be able to lick her boots in gratitude, but not right now. He had a bad night with a broomstick, a donkey and a bottle of mouthwash. I've said too much.

I leave you all with a gratuitous quote from a deep, profound movie that I will not reveal the name of:

"Well, you'll need my lucky scrunchie. It helped me pass spanish."
"You passed spanish because you gave Professor Montoya a lap dance."
"I know... LUCKILY"

So how 'bout it? I'm wearin' my lucky scrunchie!

Tinuviel has always excelled in everything she's undertaken, and this really hit me one night at work. We were sleuthing away, and she casually mentioned that she was the second detective in Sleuth to nab a Villain. I turned and looked at her with a ?! on my face. :)

She’s incredibly determined. I remember when we first started out in Sleuth, she mentioned how cool it would be if Cairo was added to the game. I laughed – but the joke was on me – a month later there was Cairo. And yes, you guessed it; she was the first to make it there!

But of all her qualities, nothing beats her enthusiasm! I'll always remember the PM she sent me when al-Qahirah opened its first treasure hunt:

"Woohooooo! Yeah!!! Treasure huntin’ bayyyyby!!!"

I wouldn't know how to run the agency without her: she's the heart of al-Qahirah. :)

(PS. And, no, she doesn't sleep!)

I will say that Longwater of the Bucklebee Longwater's is without a doubt the finest prestigititator by far that I have had the pleasure to particiate in chat with. He has maintained a quiet dignity that is exemplary to younger sleuths everywhere.

HC should be recognized for always speaking her mind and not backing down. She has made her mark in helping out new detectives and in tirelessly tracking down villains at the same time.

Shannon its so nice what you said but you deserve to be in this competition as much as anyone else certainly more than me so good luck :)

Let me also throw some support toward my friend Tinuviel.

I remember the first time I talked to her. She was so sincere and sweet. The kind of person you just instantly like. We don't get to talk often because of work and time zone issues, but I genuinely look forward to each opportunity.

Not to mention the fantastic job she has done in turning Al-Qahirah into a strong, competitive agency. I imagine Al-Q will be breaking the top ten shortly, and that's quite an accomplishment considering its relative youth.

Other than the fact that she should be a front-runner for this year's Sleuth Beauty Pageant, that's really all I have to say.

Best of luck, Tinuviel!

A brief unsolicited word of Cheerleader-esque "Rah Rah Siss Boom Bah" for Coco! (Even though Long rocks!)

Don't try too hard to imagine a squirrel in a Cheerleaders outfit, it'll do your head in. But if you want to, I'm definitely doing cartwheels and back flips, and there's even a few high-pitched "Whoos & Whees" for my fellow late night Sluethette Coco Cola.

A genuninely cool person, who unlike me :D, only speaks when she has something worth saying!

[oh, and of course "VOTE 1 yoyofoshow"... see previous page for endorsement]

Hello to my fellow Sleuthvillians. Let me start by thanking Serges and Ran for their kind words. A big shout out to my mentor, Special_K.

I'm just here to put the Long back in Water and the Water back in Long.....(whatever the hell that means)

So please, vote for the LongH2O.
