Requirements to play the game: Must have at least 10,000 experience points and be an active member. Must be available for the next few weeks.

12 fortunate detectives will be brought together with the chance to win up to 100 grande (in sleuth money NOT real money. To be transferred to your detective's account at the end of the competition)

In order to win the money you will have to complete challenges as a team. However, there is one player called the mole, an operative I have hired to sabotage the game and decrease your winnings. At the end of each round each contestant will have to answer a series of questions relating to the challenges they have faced and about who they think is the mole. Whoever gets the least amount of the questions right will be eliminated from the competition. The mole cannot be eliminated from the competition since my operative will know all of the answers. When there are only three contestants remaining, the last quiz will be administered and the winner will be decided. The last one standing wins all the money.

IMPORTANT RULE

Change your passwords to prevent someone from taking over your account during the game. I will hold each detective responsible for any actions taken by your detective. If you give out your password to someone and that person misuses it, you are the one who faces the consequences. If your account was hacked, I will have Ben look into it. If it is another competitor or a friend and they misuse your account, you asked for it by letting them have your password. I know it might sound cruel, but the potential abuse certainly exists.

First before we begin, I would like to tell everyone about the rules of the game.
One of this game's aspects is called an "exemption". An exemption allows you to pass to the next round without taking the quiz. The person with the lowest score on the quiz is eliminated. Everyone takes the quiz, including the mole. The quiz happens at the end of each round, and will contain questions that have happened at any time during the entire competition. The questions will be easier in the first few rounds but will become harder as the game progresses. You are encouraged to take notes and save PM's. You can earn exemptions through performances that are meritous or by special means that will be discussed on an individual basis.

The mole is the person who works against the group in an attempt to lower the winnings of the group. The mole may not be the only person who performs an evil action that hurts the group, but the mole is the only person hired by me to hurt the group.

Cheating and hacking are strongly discouraged and may result in the group becoming very, very angry with you. Also, I have heard somewhere that Ben frowns upon hacking.
Cheating includes asking another player for their password and accessing any other detective's account involved in this game. If in doubt, ask me.

Now on to the introduction!

15 people file into a small room called the Message Board Game Room. A circular table is situated in the middle of the room, but the rest of the room is bare. (The host made sure to relocate the Clue and Carmen Sandiego games to Ben's vacant agency.) Some of the people know each other and some people do not know anyone else. Some people are in the wrong room and are told to leave.

*Werber tries to come in but is immediately arrested*

The host asks each person to sit down at the table. There are placards at each table with the names of each detective. The detectives shuffle to their assigned seats, and they immediately notice sealed white envelopes are waiting for them. The host begins to speak.

"Hello, my name is Anderson Cooper, and I will be your host for this edition of the Mole. You might have heard of me from CNN."

*looks out and sees only blank stares*

"Each of you has an envelope in front of you. As this is your first challenge, we will make it simple so you can understand how the game is played. Inside each envelope is a list of questions. The goal of this challenge is to ask every player, including yourself, these questions. You will then submit the answers here so everyone can see them. If the challenge is completed in three days or less, you will earn 100 dollars. If you fail then 100 dollars will be taken out of the group winnings, and you will all owe me money. To give an added incentive to this challenge, the first person to turn in their questions here will earn an exemption for the first quiz, which will guarantee your place in the second round. I wish all of you the best of luck. You may begin now."

I might cry if you fail this task.
The challenge time meter does not start until I say so. It will take some time to send out all of the questions to everyone and I will not penalize you for it.

You can talk to other players here while or before the competition officially begins. Try to express what thoughts and actions your character is going through. You are not required to do this, but it will help pass the time while I get those questions sent out.

If you happen to be the mole, it would be best not to reveal your true thoughts at any time in the game. Make up some thoughts that would be in character but not revealing in any way. I realized this after reading my last post.
