I am tired of Ben not doing anything about people who lie, cheat, and steal in this game. Ben gives people to many chances. People need to be banned. How many more agencies must suffer the consequences of having rogue detectives join, take sign on bonuses, loot lockers, steal money from safe accounts, and then leave to repeat the process before the administration takes action? Chronestrian left this site for a reason, and I spoke to him shortly before he quit. I honestly told him that the site was not going to change and that people would continue to abuse the system without any fear of punishment. Enough is enough. I call upon the denizens of Slueth to support my referendum. Ben must take action against repeat offenders.

Unfortunately, Croesy, as we've seen with Werber and several others over the last few months, blacklisting isn't an effective tool against renegades. It's been used over and over again, with little to no success. Investigating detectives takes time and resources that are not available to many recruiters (and usually requires involvement from Ben ANYWAY), and some of the boards that they need to read are not available to them. The bottom line is, we've been there, done that, and here we sit, once again, back at square one. As a paying subscriber, I'm tired of the whole sordid mess.

Sunny and I have been pretty quiet about this, partly because we were on vacation (surprise!) and partly because it's not really appropriate to discuss specific disciplinary actions on the public boards.
Since I'm sure I'd get all kinds of flak if I deleted this thread, I'll say a couple things here:
1) This account (and one related subscription) was banned due to excessive board spamming. This whole thing turned pretty ugly, and the player decided to lash out by posting well over a hundred inappropriate messages. That kind of disruption will never be tolerated here. Thanks to the mods for being so diligent about the cleanup.
2) As I said, this really should not have been hashed out on the public boards. If you have a complaint about a specific person, please send the complaint to either one of the moderators or one of the admins. If it is a long-winded complaint, it's best to email it to help@hypoware.com I know you are all well-meaning, but we can't rely on lynch-mob justice if we want to keep things friendly.
3) I'll be revisiting the detective resume idea to give directors a better tool for weeding out repeat offender thieves. We're leaning towards a system where resumes are private, but a detective can choose to share their resume with a director or officer when applying for a position. Hopefully such a system would provide the necessary protection while ensuring adequate privacy.

Thanks Ben... And I LOVE and SUPPORT 100% the idea of detective resumes that can voluntarily be sent to directors that specifically request them.
