I am tired of Ben not doing anything about people who lie, cheat, and steal in this game. Ben gives people to many chances. People need to be banned. How many more agencies must suffer the consequences of having rogue detectives join, take sign on bonuses, loot lockers, steal money from safe accounts, and then leave to repeat the process before the administration takes action? Chronestrian left this site for a reason, and I spoke to him shortly before he quit. I honestly told him that the site was not going to change and that people would continue to abuse the system without any fear of punishment. Enough is enough. I call upon the denizens of Slueth to support my referendum. Ben must take action against repeat offenders.

Very hard to get a decent cup of tea these days.

So many people use those "bag on a string" thingies and dangle them in a cup of rapidly cooling water. You lose all the top notes of the tea if you don't use boiling water and keep it as hot as possible.

Cool it after it has been brewed, by all means.

Useless fact time. Tea originated in China. Britain blockaded all the Chinese ports to force them to buy our opium (back in our glory days as the guys in the black hats) and made them give us tea plants. We then took them to our plantations in India. The tea there was allowed to ferment before drying, which is why the Brits drink black tea rather than Chinese green tea, which is much less bitter.

Only came back to wish everyone Happy St Davids Day but I saw this thread and thought I would add my 5 cents.

I agree with Reda it is an unfortunate aspect of the game. In real life you get stung every now and again! If nothing else it should teach you to be more careful in future. The community here is still of a size that it can control these troublemakers by excluding them from their agencies. It shouldn't be up to Ben to sort these people out. Ignore them, stop their oppurtunities to steal and they will grow board.

Moral of the story: Investigate who you recruit and read the boards.

Unfortunately, Croesy, as we've seen with Werber and several others over the last few months, blacklisting isn't an effective tool against renegades. It's been used over and over again, with little to no success. Investigating detectives takes time and resources that are not available to many recruiters (and usually requires involvement from Ben ANYWAY), and some of the boards that they need to read are not available to them. The bottom line is, we've been there, done that, and here we sit, once again, back at square one. As a paying subscriber, I'm tired of the whole sordid mess.
