Ok did a favor..
I have an Exquisite Monocle that has +2 Smarts and +1 Charm...
Also a Crystal Pendent With +3 Charm and -1 Toughness.

The new item is a Jeweled Amulet that is +2 Charm

The question is... should I sell the monocle? And get more charm.. or keep the monocle?? My gut says to sell the Jeweled Amulet as the overall points would be more.
I am Smart Charming..archtype

If you don't have any advanced smarts skills yet, I'd opt for getting as much equipment to enhance your charm as you can. When you have the basic smarts you'll always find that kind of evidence at the crime scene no matter what, so getting smarts equipment won't matter until being able to determine more specific what kind of evidence you're dealing with :)

*lol* - well seeing as you have almost all the smarts skills, it's a good idea to have some equipment to match these (i.e. items with plus for smarts), because this also enhances the chance of them working :D

So selling the amulet, as both you and elvenwonder said, would probably be a good way to go, because that'll give you items that support both your smarts and your charm :)

Well I better list all my equipment.
Besides what I am holding I have a
Fine Leather Trench Coat... which is +1 for toughness and +2 for Charm
And a Golden Turban which is +2 for Smarts

Does this change your recommendation of selling the Amulet?

I have advanced thread analysis, but have found that at some crime scenes, I do not get the information if the thread belongs to a male or female. Is this normal, or is it a glitch?

Thanks.
