Was wondering why everything was moving at a snail's pace, then checked and saw how many detectives were logged on.

Hmmmm....so I guess these are all subscribers, since Ben hired a Bouncer for Sleuthville when things got a bit too crowded.

Wow!

Hopefully some of these new players will stay and subscribe and join agencies. I just hate it when they subscribe, join an agency, and then never log in again.

Ben, that little survey you did must've helped out a lot with learning what brings in new users. :)

Wonder if sleuth got some new users as a result of the Sleuth booth at the Left Coast Crime convention. Hope it went well for Sunny and Ben.

It wasn't 132, but last night is the first time I can recall seeing 94 people on sleuth at 4am. (even with DLS taken into consideration)

However you're doing it, it's a great advertising campaign!

Perhaps it's just my imagination or wishful thinking, but the Sleuth server seems to be running faster now. Thanks for the speed - I can enjoy playing Sleuth once again!

Sindy...I think it is puttering along again. Your imagination seems to be running wild tonight.

Hmmm - well, maybe it's just my computer - but my imagination does have some pretty wild flights of fancy. :)

We did make some changes last night that should be helping some. I'll have to compare today's logs to yesterday's to see how big of a difference.

I'm still working on a few other things that may help.

The improvement seems to be significant, the average page load time dropped by 65% from Wednesday to Thursday, despite the fact that there was more traffic. Some pages have benefited from this more than others. In particular, the gameplay pages seem to have sped up quite a bit (under load), the message board pages haven't improved as much, but they are probably less important to the enjoyment of the game.

Anyway, we'll see if we can't find some more ways to improve game performance.
